Ranking: As 200 Melhores Universidades do Mundo

A Times Higher Education, revista com sede no Reino Unido especializada em ensino superior, reporta anualmente, desde 1994, uma publicação que adquiriu muito prestígio, sendo tradicionamente reproduzida em jornais de garbo internacional, tais como The Times e The Guardian – o Ranking Mundial das Universidades. Nele são listadas as melhores 200 instituições de Ensino Superior em todo o globo. Para a avaliação são usados critérios diversos com diferentes pesos, a fim de obter uma pontuação de maneira mais homogênea e possibilitar a compararação da performance das instituições. São os critérios:

Pontuação por Revisão de “Colegas” (40%)

Pontuação de Funcionários (10%)

International Faculty Score (5%)

Pontuação Internacional dos Estudantes (5%)

Pontuação dos Estudantes (20%)

Citações Científicas/Pontuação das Faculdades (20%).

Listo aqui as 10 eleitas melhores por motivo ilustrativo, mas vale a pena conhecer o ranking completo não somente por curiosidade, mas sim para criar uma reflexão sobre a importância da educção de nível superior na construção do caráter e economia de uma nação. Entre as 20 primeiras: 13 Dos Estados Unidos, 4 do Reino Unido, e Japão, Austrália e Canadá contribuindo com uma universidade cada.

Apenas uma Universidade brasileira, a Universidade de São Paulo (USP) aparece entre as 200 primeiras. Mesmo assim, classificada com 196ª do Ranking, por pouco nosso País deixa de contribuir com a lista…

Acho vergonhosa nossa classificação, porque se somos a décima economia do mundo, deveriamos estar melhor situados em termos de universidade, principalmente universidade pública, que tem tudo pra ser excelente. Mas o que vemos é a nossa melhor universidade, a USP, ficar situada quase na ponta da relação, no numero 196. Pra que ser a decima econmomia do mundo? quem ganaha com isso? o cidadao participa dessa classificação? E atentem que das universidades, a nossa melhor foi a unica classificada e na “rabeira” da relação. Se nossos estivessemos num país sério, de politicos e governantes compromissados com a sociedade, teriamos mais uiversidades classificadas e num patamar que nos desse efetivamente mais orgulho.

Fernanda, para você é mais fácil duvidar da credibilidade da pesquisa que na incompetência do nosso país.
Com base em que você não acredita?
Não adianta ser a décima economia mundial se a população não se beneficia dessa riqueza. Se tomarmos os políticos como base para o resultado do IDH teremos certamente um dos maiores índices ( renda per capita então, não irei nem comentar ).
Mas isso não será problema enquanto houver miseráveis analfabetos para o presidente Mula distribuir esmolas.

Sinceramente esses ranks não dizem nada, existe um rank da melhores universidades do mundo de 2009 que coloca a USP entre as 40 melhores do mundo, e vale ressaltar, se vcs não sabem, que esses ranks adotam um grande número de pontos as universidades com o idioma inglês, ou seja, há uma distorção da realidade, claro que a USP não está no mesmo padrão de muitas universidades internacionais, mas não se pode dizer nada só por causa desse rank. Outra coisa se vcs olharem as universidades da china estão na lista, só que todo mundo sabe que existe uma total distorção da verdade naquele pais, o que mostra claramente a falta de veracidade desse rank.

Eu acho um absurdo uma faculdade como a glorosiosa Med Soroca (PUC-SP) não estar figurando entre as melhores universidades do mundo. É uma falta de respeito com os melhores profissionais da medicina e quiça os melhores alunos do continente. Atenção Sorocaba, Solta a Cobra!!!!!!!

Está na cara que essa pesquisa teve influencia de valores pessoais, afinal, entre as 10 melhores do mundo, ao menos 8 são dos EUA e apenas Cambridge e Oxford do Reino Unido podem estar entre as 10. E outra, qualquer outro ranking colocaria a USP entre as 100 melhores, em torno do 85º lugar! Tô com a Fernanda e a outra ai do final sem nome , essa pesquisa não está com nada!
